Subnautica 2 Biomes — All Locations
All 5 Subnautica 2 biomes documented with depth ranges, danger ratings, resources, and creature lists. Subnautica 2 biomes range from the shallow Kelp Forest to the extreme Void boundary.

Subnautica 2 — Kelp Forest
ShallowDepth: 0–300u
The safest confirmed biome in Subnautica 2's Early Access. Dense kelp towers provide cover and the local fauna is non-aggressive. Ideal for new players to gather basic resources and practice scanning.

Subnautica 2 — Graveyard
ShallowDepth: 500–2,000u
A haunting mid-depth zone littered with the wreckage of alien vessels and the remains of massive creatures. Eerie silence broken by occasional structural groans. High loot potential, moderate danger.

Subnautica 2 — Thermal Spires
DeepDepth: 3,000–8,000u
Towering geothermal vents rise from the seafloor, surrounded by extreme heat and rich mineral deposits. Thermal power plants can be installed here for a permanent energy source. Navigate the spires carefully.

Subnautica 2 — Sparse Plains
ExtremeDepth: 15,000–30,000u
A vast, dimly lit mid-game zone stretching across the ocean floor. Resources are scattered and hard to find — but more importantly, this is home to the Collector Leviathan. Careful navigation required.

Subnautica 2 — Void
VoidThe outer boundary of the explorable world — a featureless, pitch-black abyss. Nothing survives here except the Void Leviathan, which patrols to enforce the boundary. Turn back.
Subnautica 2 biomes will expand throughout Early Access — new locations are added with each major update.
